High Performance Training

The High Performance Training Program teaches volleyball fundamentals and grows young athletes in the game.

As part of our mission to expand access to the game of volleyball in the Charlotte area, the High Performance Training Program develops volleyball skill and builds volleyball IQ among young people who are eager to grow as players.

The intensive program runs on a monthly basis from November through May. Participants train two days per week (Monday and Wednesday). Instruction will be led by QCVA Coaches Michelle and Kristen (Z). Coach Michelle, who played professionally in Brazil, was the head coach for QCVA’s 15U team in 2020 and 2021. Coach Z is the head volleyball coach at Chambers High School.

The program is being hosted in partnership with former USA Volleyball Olympian Keba Phipps. Coach Keba will also lead sessions on an occasional basis. This inaugural program aims to create a pathway for promising athletes to join a QCVA travel team in time.

Ages: 7 – 18
